So I haven't been very good at updating for the last few days.

Mostly just tired, but also a bit scatty. I'm usually bad at updating on holidays anyway - this is the 'timely' version of me travelling.



The last two days in the UK was mostly visiting markets - St James' church antique markets and the Borough Markets.

St James' Church, Piccadilly:



Homeless people are welcome to sleep on the pews down one side of the church during the day.

The Borough Markets are full of interesting food:

Where everything has cocoa in it, one way or the other:


eg. this burger had cacao beer braised onions:


And this dessert had a chocolate mousse kind of thing on top:


That was the afternoon on Tuesday, and then Wednesday was pretty much packing and leaving:

But I did find some Kedgeree at the Plum and Spilt Milk at Kings Cross Station:


Before I had to get on the plane to the US.

Mmh, Borough Market -- that was MY MARKET while I lived in London; I bought the majority of my groceries there. I miss it.

It's a really good market, but I didn't need groceries, so all I could do was stare longingly at the food...
