my quilt at QuiltCon, Pasadena

So, my quilt is presently showing at QuiltCon, Pasadena, CA.

It didn't win any prizes, but I was hardly expecting it to. And it's been photographed quite a few times by various people, some of who've tagged me on instagram.

Most notably, it was instagrammed by the company who makes the fabric with which I made the quilt - both the front and the backing - Cotton+Steel.

It's nice to be noticed. :)

OMG! My friend is there. Your work is gorgeous. How long did it take?

In full? About a year to piece the top (painstakingly slow) and then another 6 months before I did the backing, sent it off to the quilter, and sewed on the binding.

In total, about 18 months.
