fannish considerings for next week

I don't really have any medical appointments next week. Work has not yet called me in. (I should at least have Monday benched; after that, well, I might get dragged back into the project of doom. I was hoping I'd get next week off, too, but I'm not holding my breath)

I have quite a few ficathons to write.

16th - smutswap: have story, need to write prelude
19th - shipswap: have story, need to keep it from getting EPIC; have PH, have no idea what I'm going to write for it...

Note: heroinebigbang hasn't had their (mandatory) 2nd check-in post put up (so far as I can see). Rough draft is due 4th May. If I'm writing Maria and Pepper in Civil War, though, I'm going to have to finish it before the 29th April, which is when I sit myself through Cap 3 and hopefully don't hate it. (Optimistic, aren't I?)

wipbigbang has a check-in on the 17th, around the same time as the Smut Swap and Ship Swaps are due. Must not forget this.

Since it's nearly impossible to write with the cats yowling at me (hopping up on my lap, my laptop, sitting on my mouse, demanding food), I might go up to the local library, settle myself in and try writing there. And hopefully not get distracted by the books. READING THINGS. READING THINGSSS YESSSSS...

But today is pretty much for the quilting.

Carrels are wonderfully focusing things, I found out again recently. You feel all secure and secluded, and there's nothing visually to distract you form what ever you ought to be reading/writing....
