The Sun's Treasure: incenses, myrrhs, ambers to start with - it's pretty good in the wet phase, although it's fading fast. Developed into a lovely warm ambery-musk scent, but not very strong. Barely a residual scent 2 hours later.

The Carousel: too thin, turns out kind of herbal and sickly green on my skin. Also fading fast. Barely there in twenty minutes, residual in 2 hours. - SWAP

Nasty Woman: black fig and patchouli, filthy bourbon vanilla, honeyed amber oud, and loukhoum.
Immediately amber, then swiftly a strong tobacco scent. That might be the patchouli? Doesn't last very long, residual scent in 2 hours.

Bast: A desert wind alight with myrrh and golden amber, cardamom and honey, bourbon vanilla and cacao.
Amber and myrrh to start with, the honey hits strong on this one, even in drydown. However it's gone in a couple of hours, only residual scent.

Firstly: Is [community profile] fandom_stocking happening this year? Anyone know?

Secondly, I spotted this over with [personal profile] cereta:

Step One:
Make a post. It can be public or friends only, whatever you're most comfortable with. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes, and these wishes can be anything - from simple (fan fiction written about your favorite pairing), to medium (a DVD you want), to really extravagant (a brand new laptop or car).

Just make sure these are wishes for things you really truly want.

Step Two:
Skim through your friends list and see who has posted their own wish lists. Then - and this is the most important part - if you find a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make sure that person’s wish comes true.

Sometimes a person's trash is another person’s treasure. If you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you’re never going to use, give it to someone who wants it.

Step Three:
Post this wish list any time after November 1st. Then repost it two weeks before Christmas.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday fairy - to spread the joy.

Gifts can be made anonymously or not, it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

wishlist: pretty simple, mostly fannish )

Don't forget to post your own wishlists, and I'll see what I can do...

Contemplating a sign-up. Mm, yeah, nope. The effort I'd expend would almost certainly not be worth the return. Plus, same fandom, wildly different interests between me and the rest of the signups. Frankly, I (and my recip) would be far better off if I just write happymakingfic for [community profile] femmeremix.

Reading through some of my profic, trying to find a decent piece to submit for the workshop.

The problem is:
a) length,
b) finishedness,
c) do I want to finish this story?

I'm selling my BPAL collection, massively discounted.

I was into collecting them about 5-6 years ago, and then drifted out around 2011 when I lost my job. Never really went back into it.

There are some lovely scents in there, but I'm never going to use them all anyway, and apart from smelling up my workroom, there's not much point to them.

I couldn't be bothered haggling prices, so I just set everything at $15 for a 100% 5mL bottle. Given that about 10 bottles have just walked out in the sales post, I probably should have set it at $20. Eh. Whatever.

Mind you, I'm kind of dreading the point where I have to explain to an American (it's always an American) why I'm charging them $14 for postage, that, no, this isn't a scam (unless it's Australia Post's scam), that yes, they do have to pay that much postage for the bottles they're buying, and no, I won't give them a discount.
