I'm mostly reading a spec today. I'm feeling antsy, and a little emotionally frazzled.
Rather disturbingly, nobody's commented on other side of infinity after I posted Part One. The kudos are still coming in, but I was expecting at least a little reaction from my regular readers and it's been *crickets chirp*.

Our federal election date has finally come in - 18th May. Presently, Labor (centrist) is looking set to win, but - as is happening these days in all politics - you have the fiercely conservative party, the fiercely progressive party, and the centrist party. And you have Murdoch media.
Conservatives will vote for conservatives.
Centrists will vote for conservatives or centrists.
Progressives will vote for progressives.
Considering the conservatives and the centrists are the only ones with the numbers to make up the government, guess who wins? And guess who'll keep winning every time?
Also, Murdoch media is being dramatic about everything. And the conservative government is tilting at stuff that they implemented themselves nine months ago, and which the centrist opposition has now taken up and made policies towards.
Ugh.
I might offer to hand out 'how to vote' cards for the progressives on election day, over at the polling booth where I was working for the state election. I can't work election day because I have a permaculture course happening in my garden that day, but I think I might be more useful handing out 'how to vote' cards instead - particularly in an electorate where a decent proportion of people look like me...
Then again, the local progressive running for the Senate also looks like me, and there's advertising for her up all over the place. So...the progressives might already be working that angle... Hmm...
Anyway, talk to me? About something?

Not sure what best to talk about just now, being ready to embark on an overly massive smoke test for a release, but there are technical difficulties with the deploy so I have a moment.
I feel like there's a lot more wariness in general right now with commenting on works in progress that aren't done posting. I know I also often don't comment if I don't feel strongly about anything in a first chapter because my head goes, oh, I can do it next chapter... Very dangerous thought. That said, I only haven't picked it up because I'm so very tired of the MCU and anything hitting Civil War and later, I just mostly don't even engage with. Might try Captain Marvel though, since it's prequelly stuff.

Don't mind me, I'm just being overly-worried...

I'm just a little anxious about the silence. Like, I understand that it's a big story and people can't read it immediately because of life, but I guess I just find myself wondering if I missed the mark that badly that not even the regulars feel the desire to say "I have no idea where you're going, what the hell?" (Or even "I can see where this is ending and it is NOT GOOD!")

....I mean, I love RDJ, I even liked Tony before AoU, but omfg, it has turned into the Tony Stark Manpain Series. So not what I signed up for.

I trust your writing. So I did rec it, sight unread, to people I know are far more interested in latter MCU!
Hoping it's just exams and Busy that's keeping your readers quiet!
