Realisations:
Rizzoli and Isles is about women? To whit: two professional women interacting as professionals? I mean, I know there are a bunch of femme-friendly fans out there who regularly rave about this show, but nobody recced it to me! *goes hunting for episodes*
Pratchett pwns my responses: the post title "a question for the seamstresses among us" took my mind to places more appropriate for
kink_bingo than something about actual, you know, sewing.
I probably can't write 24
kink_bingo stories in 20 days. Unfortunately. I was hoping to write a kink bingo blackout that was entirely het. Time time time time...why must everything be run from May to August? Can't we do January to April some time? Or July through October?
Somewhere along the way, I've lost the ability to write a plot-filled fanfic.
Requests:
When someone ends up writing "Wraith Hunters" as per @JoeFlanigan's Twitter, I suppose it would be too feminist to ask for them to include Teyla as part of the party? Yes, probably. Silly women. Asking to be included in the adventure. What can they be thinking? Stay home and make babies like a good girl!
@rachel_luttrell is on Twitter, she hasn't gotten the hang of answering anything yet and none of the rest of the cast seems to be following her. If you're on Twitter and you're a Teyla- or Rachel-fan, I suggest you check her out.
If you're not on Twitter but you're on Dreamwidth, there's a rachel_luttrell_feed to follow her Tweets. I haven't gotten around to seeing if there's a LiveJournal feed for her yet.
Also,
femme_fic is now accepting prompts for the 2010 Femme Fic Challenge - limit of three prompts per user.

magnetic_pole, or why fandom loves Sherlock.
It's not an ad, it's an ad pitch from the ABC show Gruen Nation for the Australian Greens political party. And, really, it's hit the major notes in this debate - the ones that the Libs and Labor have been singing sharp, flat, or just plain wrong.
