She just tweeted that it's out - available on iTunes!

I Wish You Love by Rachel Luttrell

I'm so happy! My sister just got an iTunes card and doesn't have an iPod, so she sold it to me instead... *glees*

She tweeted about it yesterday - posting the video and having it available on iTunes.

I've never used iTunes before; might have to start now.

Alas, for I cannot check iTunes or twitter or any of the twitter links from work!

Anyone looked at the vid/bought the single yet?

Realisations:

Rizzoli and Isles is about women? To whit: two professional women interacting as professionals? I mean, I know there are a bunch of femme-friendly fans out there who regularly rave about this show, but nobody recced it to me! *goes hunting for episodes*

Pratchett pwns my responses: the post title "a question for the seamstresses among us" took my mind to places more appropriate for [community profile] kink_bingo than something about actual, you know, sewing.

I probably can't write 24 [community profile] kink_bingo stories in 20 days. Unfortunately. I was hoping to write a kink bingo blackout that was entirely het. Time time time time...why must everything be run from May to August? Can't we do January to April some time? Or July through October?

Somewhere along the way, I've lost the ability to write a plot-filled fanfic.

Requests:

When someone ends up writing "Wraith Hunters" as per @JoeFlanigan's Twitter, I suppose it would be too feminist to ask for them to include Teyla as part of the party? Yes, probably. Silly women. Asking to be included in the adventure. What can they be thinking? Stay home and make babies like a good girl!

@rachel_luttrell is on Twitter, she hasn't gotten the hang of answering anything yet and none of the rest of the cast seems to be following her. If you're on Twitter and you're a Teyla- or Rachel-fan, I suggest you check her out.

If you're not on Twitter but you're on Dreamwidth, there's a rachel_luttrell_feed to follow her Tweets. I haven't gotten around to seeing if there's a LiveJournal feed for her yet.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] femme_fic is now accepting prompts for the 2010 Femme Fic Challenge - limit of three prompts per user.

It's not an ad, it's an ad pitch from the ABC show Gruen Nation for the Australian Greens political party. And, really, it's hit the major notes in this debate - the ones that the Libs and Labor have been singing sharp, flat, or just plain wrong.

Here @ [livejournal.com profile] winter_elf's LJ .

She got annoyed by the John/Teyla questions - apparently there were many of them (probably not as many as she thought - that which annoys always seems disproporitionaltely greater than it truly is). I'd probably have gotten annoyed too - but I'd have understood why they were asking.

I can't say I wouldn't have asked, either - although my question would have been 'why?'

Just looking at these pics, I'm reminded once again of the fact that Rachel is beautiful and sweet and lively, and none of this was allowed to show in Teyla, or written into her character, or permitted rein. And while I love Rachel for being sweet and very patient with her fans, I kinda wish she'd had a bit more inclination to smack TPTB upside the head for ignoring her perfectly good character in favour of newbies and guest characters and everyone but her.
