Saw Jewel Staite today. She was lovely, although the American accent threw me - for some reason the actors never seem to have accents on television, and then you meet them and they do! She inadvertantly let loose a leetle spoiler for Season Five while signing the picture I gave her, which her minder promptly shushed! I missed out on her talk session, though - by the time I went to get in, the room was full. I'm going again tomorrow - she has an "Atlantis-centric" talk session tomorrow, so I'll make sure I get in early for a seat.
Saw Jared Padalecki and was thinking of getting something signed by him (a gift for a FJ) but decided against - he'd finished signing for the day by the time I got around to it. And, after all the fuss and flutter and the photos and the signing, he was still smiling. I was impressed. And he is rather good-looking, although none of the guys around would admit it. I had two friends claim they were better looking than he! *laughs* I think I'd like to go to his session tomorrow afternoon, but I don't think I'd arrive in time, and it would probably be madly busy.
Kandyse McClure from BSG and Nichelle Nichols are two guests who were there today, but which I didn't see - by the time the crowds cleared enough for me to actually see the signing tables, they were gone.
Otherwise, I tried out and contemplated purchasing a Wacom tablet (ebay is going to be my friend on that front, I think, since I only want it for pfaffing around once in a while), bought two Buffy "Season 8" trade paperbacks, and the Marvel "1602" comic, which I finished reading earlier tonight. I love crackerrific AUs. Marvel has a predisposition towards them. And this one was written by Neil Gaiman, too! How could I possibly resist?
