And a fic rec: agriope23's The Chains Which Once Held Us. I love this depiction of Athosian life and how Teyla perceives the Athosians' future beyond the Wraith.

There were concerns of course and John realized with some surprise and a little hurt that most of the worries centered around interaction with Atlantis. Halling calmed those voices, rallying to Teyla's plan but still admitting some hesitation. The council didn't object and the plan was adopted. Athosian democracy in action.
