This is my betting pool, I guess! I'll come back and check my theories in April when all this is over!

Kanan is not the father of Teyla's child. Just because Teyla thinks that the child was naturally conceived doesn't mean it has to be.

Michael is the one who got her pregnant, although not through sexual intercourse - no, not even kinky Wraith sex. She's his walking time bomb - insurance against his own death.

The child is not human as we understand it - not even by Teyla's wraithgene standard of human. Just because Keller has done tests on Teyla's pregnancy and hasn't noticed anything doesn't mean there can't be something 'other' about the child. Plus, Earth (or Ancient) technology is not the be-all and end-all of medical awareness of the universe.

The disappearance of the Athosians is related to Michael. People managed to change my mind after the last set of theories on Teyla's storyline. :)

--

I'd like for the final episode of the season to be about Teyla's disappearance, Michael, and the Wraith, with whatever RepLizcator* and co. are doing being left for the next season. It would just be nice to have the storyline about Teyla for once; it would be nicer to have the storyline about Teyla kicking ass, but I've learned not to hold my breath on either of those scores.

Obviously, I have no idea, have not really checked for spoilers, and am not holding out hope of much more stuff for Teyla other than Spoils Of War, Quarantine, and Kindred 1&2. They may surprise me, but Rachel Luttrell took at least a month off shooting, possibly as much as six weeks, so in purely practical terms, there's still not going to be much Teyla in the 2nd half of Season Four.

* I do think it's a RepLizcator, because I can't imagine real Elizabeth (or clone Elizabeth) not letting someone in Atlantis know she was alive, or being so...uncaring about the aftermath of the battle - that's just not Elizabeth Weir! All that death and destruction in the battle over the planet was necessary so "the real work" can be done now? I don't think I want that to be Elizabeth, thank you very much!

ooh, that's an interesting theory. can't wait to see how this will play out.

I'll agree that Michael has something to do with the Athosians disappearing, but I'm still clinging to the hope that the baby is normal. Or will be normal until Michael gets ahold of it anyway. :)

I've heard rumors that the season finale's supposed to deal with Sheppard looking for Teyla after the Kindred series. If that's true, it makes my shipper heart a little happy. XD I think Kindred is going to be great for Teyla and I can't wait for it.

Marty G. said that TPTB have definite plans for Elizabeth in S5, so who knows where that is going. I'd like it to be brainwashed real Liz instead of RepliLiz. :)

I actually was pondering the very same theory.

The only thing I can't figure out is how/when Michael would have impregnated her, because the last time the two of them met was in Vengeance, and that seems like it was too long ago for her only to be 3 months along as of BAMSR. Also, Michael left Teyla in the room assuming that the Iratus bug was going to snack on her; Ronon just barely saved her.

I definitely think Michael is the linchpin of all of this... including the rumors of Carson's reappearance.

For Teyla's sake I really hope it's normal, though :(

It's very possible!

Interesting theory. I've been pondering for a while, and I can't quite figure what the writers would do with a baby on the show. This may be their way of writing the kid off after Rachel had her baby.

I definitely think you're right that Michael is behind the disappearance of the Athosians. It was obviously Wraith-related, but what other Wraith would even care about Teyla's people, much less just swipe them up for some unknown reason. It has to be him. That's a little disturbing, though.

I can't wait to see what happens! It's been a while since I felt that way about SGA.

I read somewhere that Rachel got 3 months off, but it's been a while ago and I don't remember where.

As much as I love the idea of Michael and Teyla, I do hope that the baby is 'normal', as in human. However, if Michael has something to do with the disappearance of the Athosians, I am looking forward to see that story unfold. Yeah, you're right, it is time that Teyla got a decent storyline.

This theory is what I've been hoping is going on for a while.

As for Elizabeth, I agree, behaviour didn't fit for the real Weir. Now I'm waiting for slightly kinky RepLizcator M/W fic, hoping someone will take that dark and angsty bone.

I too would like to see more Teyla and her missing and possibly John's real reason in LMS is looking for *her* as much as finding out where the expedition has gone.

As for ReLizcator didn't the she ask if all the Replicators had been destroyed and did not the tech confirm there were none left?? Also if Liz was a replicator would she too not been apart of the super nanite *blob*???

Just my thoughts.

After accidentally reading a spoiler for "Kindred", I was convinced that Michael had something to do with Teyla's pregnancy and possibly the disappearance of the Athosians, as well. In BAMSR, Teyla says that she can feel that Kanan is alive. I think she's more accurately feeling that the father of her child is alive (Michael). I say this because I think she and Michael have some kind of special mental connection. Like, how he was able to mesmerize into untying his restraints in Michael, though he was still in human form.

Also, I don't think Michael meant to kill Teyla at in Vengeance. If he really wanted her dead, he wouldn't have left it to chance. He knew Sheppard and Ronon were coming, so he probably figured they'd get their to save her before the bug fed on her. I think Michael just wanted to misdirect them. Also, why would he have wasted time to kidnap her at all, just to fill her in on his evil plan? Not likely. There had to be an ulterior motive.

Ok, I just reread an interview with Rachel Luttrell back in September where she says this about Teyla's pregnancy:

"So, there's a dark element to her journey this season in addition to the flipside of her trying to be protective of what may very well be, historically quite a significant human being that she's carrying."

Yeah, I'd say that's definitely more indication that there's something "other" about the child she's carrying.
