Stargate SG-1:
Mini!Jack eventually got the SGC to make a Mini!Team to join him.
(Recommended reading: 'Monkey Screaming', 'Mirror Image', and 'Silk And Chains' by sgcbearcub.)
2.
Stargate Atlantis:
The Wraith have a society structure all their own, that developed out of a one female-many-males gender imbalance. There are rules and social strata, and personal rivalries, and although they're telepathic, they're not a hive mind.
(Taken from the
Stargate Atlantis: Legacy book series, which is so totally worth the read.)
Teyla Emmagan dreams of the Wraith Queen whose bloodline she hails from. Because she's female, and developed her gifts the way no other human-inheritor of the Wraith genes ever has, she can 'read' as a Wraith Queen to the Wraith – or an ordinary human if she prefers. Torran, because he has Wraith genes from both sides of his bloodlines, can also telepathically read as a Wraith, but Kanaan can't.
3.
Marvel Cinematic Universe:
Maria Hill got into S.H.I.E.L.D because she took an interest in Peggy. She spotted a female working with the Howling Commandos who was never mentioned by name, and went on a research bent. Since she was researching a one-time Director of S.H.I.E.L.D, her searches raised flags until Peggy gave authorisation for her to be found. Peggy was quite impressed and kept an eye on Maria even after she entered the marines – right up until the point where their paths crossed in Madripoor.

Day 3 – MCU Movies)
4.
Pacific Rim:
Angela Hansen was working on Military Rd, Neutral Bay, the day Scissure attacked. She thought she might be pregnant with her second child (she had the pregnancy tests in her bag for when she got home), but when an opportunity came to get away, she forwent her place in favour of a single mum and a woman who was six months pregnant.
Mako Mori and Chuck Hansen have a personal history together, but it's been over for several years. It had nothing to do with Drift compatibility, and everything to do with them both being young and stupidly arrogant and intense. (Mako, too, just not the swaggering arrogance that Chuck still shows.) Chuck's reaction to Raleigh is at least one part jealousy.
Doing as much writing as I do, I have a lot of headcanons floating around my skull! :)
